The Day of the Lord Draws Near
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "He who endures to the end shall be saved" (Matt. 24:13).
The whole world stands in the balance. Man's own governance has failed him. Institutions cannot chart a sure course for tomorrow. Irrational post-modern thinking is aflame. Impatience among the masses abounds. New nuclear power threats lurk in the shadows. Most leaders in the Middle East continue to crave hatred, killing, and war. Europe grows weary of refugees. The whole world grows weary of Iran and ISIS. Russian and China stake fresh claims with new military might to defend them. America, the only beacon of hope among the nations, wrestles between left and right so that no one is allowed to freely lead. So where is The Church in all this? Well, we are called to be one, but are utterly divided. We are active humanitarians, but spiritually impotent. We are fervently passionate, but spiritually uninspired. Statistics show that we confess a Biblical world view, but are unconcerned with what the Bible says. We say we believe in prayer, but do little effectual praying. And we seem to have everything we need, except need itself.
