God's winter for the world has come.
Many Christians are crying out against economic ruin, moral rot (which has gone far beyond moral decay), demonic strangleholds, and a host of other ills that even the most spiritually blind can't miss. But these are the seasons of the Lord, under His authority, and instituted by Him for His purposes -- He's not about it stop it, and neither can we. In short, this is good.
He is God, who does all things well. The turning upside down of the world is necessary - and though it is painful to see and to experience, it is a part of God's plan to perfect His name in the earth through His people; and IT IS GOOD!
The things that are being dragged into the gutter are the things that the arm of the flesh relies on -- primarily money. Experience proves that the ecclesiastical masses would not be so upset with other ills if their 401(k) accounts weren't taking serious hits.
In the midst of the world's winter, springtime is beginning to break through for God's people. As the Spirit of the Lord has indicated, "While the world is going down, God's people are going up" - not religious institutions mind you; but rather those people who truly belong to Him and seek to embrace Him as He really is. As for that remnant, it's still winter outside, and they're not richer, fairer, or fatter of flesh. As a matter of fact, it may be quite the reverse for a while; like the apostle Paul, we are "the off-scouring of all things." Inside however, the spirit man sees spring coming on, and no matter how much the devil wails and gnashes his teeth, he can't stop it! We are about to bloom with His glory!
The Bible says in Hebrews 12 (quoting Haggai 2) that God will shake the heavens and the earth so that whatever cannot be shaken may remain. That means that every kingdom on earth will fall, but His kingdom will stand forever - and flourish! Daniel's vision saw Jesus as the stone cut out of the mountain without hands, which will crash into the world's kingdoms, breaking them into a million pieces. Then He will become a great mountain that fills the whole earth!
In this season, we who hope in Christ alone take heart in our tribulations. Remember, it was He who said, "In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world."
